Katy’s Graduation – Two Down, One to Go

Katy

Well, we went to Ashley’s graduation last week at the U of A in Fayetteville, and this week we got to go to Katy, her sister’s, graduation in Wynne Friday. We had a little rain on the way, but it held off until after graduation. Katy is the youngest of my brother Craig’s children. She was an honor graduate and was awarded a $42,000 scholarship to Arkansas Tech in their Honors Program. And she, also, got the Arkansas Challenge Scholarshiop. We are all so very proud of her. Not only is she smart5, she is a good girl! On the way home we were in thunderstors and couldn’t even see the road. We had to pull over and wait it out. It was an unsual trip to see all the rivers, ditches, and field so full with water everywhere. Congratulations, Katy!!! Love you!!!

    Hi there Jim:

I see you’ve been getting around a lot lately. I bet graduation is an emotional time seeing “your” kids get their wings to see the world. Your neice, Katy sounds like a wonderful young lady. She is also quite adorable… and tall. Wishful thinking for me.
I have to say how much I love the quilt you have as the background for your blog. I love all the rich colors. Is that one of yours or one you’ve rescued? Either way, it is fabulous. Can’t wait to see you in the fall at festival.
Tom is very busy as you can see by his blog entries and I’ve been working a lot. Going to see my Mom in Minneapolis next week and Tom and Bill are going to babysit my dog, Spice.. I think she really likes it when I go away. She is pampered on a much higher level by Tom and Bill.
So, how many quilts have you done so far this year. What is the count?

Stay well my friend! See you in a few months,
    Kathy
