A Gourmet Chef, I am not! – Normal food with friends.

Being on a diet, going to the dietician once a week and having Fina the Fitness Guru coming over 3 times a week for workouts has been my life for over 2 years.  BUT, when I get hungry or when  eat something that I really shouldn’t, I ain’t dumb! I know it, but self satisfaction and a habit of not throwing food away gets into the weight loss thing. Last weekend I could not get anything else in my freezer so I decided to cook a bunch of stuff up and have friends over to eat. I am not a gouret cook. I cook normal stuff that normal people will eat. The menu was: baked ham, turkey and dressing, gravy, rolls, carrots, greenbean casserole, cranberry-orange sauce, sweet potatoe casserole, and pink fluff.  Aaron and Kurtsey brought a strawberry trifle that was De-Lish!!  The friends were; Jim Ettan, the Giovannini’s, the Spivey’s and the Hutchison’s.  This was one of my “eat and leave ” invites. No strings, just supper. We all had a great visit and with the reduction of food, it seems that they all enjoyed their Sunday (for no reason) supper.
