Scrap Quilt Top # 45 – Not My Favorite One

SCRAP QUILT TOP # 45 – After I showed the 44 scrap quilt tops at the Arkansas Quilters Guild October meeting, I had to clean up the house for Geannine and her friends to come and sew, and I have had company. So, I put my creative efforts into collage, making a few birthday and Christmas presents, and restoring antique silver to their shiny brilliance.   I, finally grabbed a stack of brown blocks and started arranging them on the studio tables. The brown stack had an odd blue and an odd red.  I think a lot of these came from Cathy Hammons Slater in that box she mailed me. The problem I had with setting these together was the fact that I couldn’t find anything to go with the odd colors. I think that is one reason people give me their old blocks. They can’t find something in their stash to go with the blocks. Well, I manipulated them on point, added borders, cut some down and cut blocks into for the border triangles. I had the small red nine patch blocks, so I made the sashing that size. Luckily, there was some scrap fabric in the box that matched some of the blocks and that helped tie them all together. So, here it is………….. Ta Daaaaaaaaaaa……  Scrap Quilt Top #45.
