A Surprise Visit to The Birdnest – Pat’s an Angel.

This post disappeared out there somewhere so I’ll do a short version. On the way to Searcy with Liz today I called my dear friend and best quilt bud, Pat Eaton to see if she was home. Richard said she went to get his step-father Bob. He called back and said for us to come by.  Pat was cooking lunch for the men, but we got to visit some and Liz got a tour of the studio, Birdnest on the Ground. Pat has all kinds of collections and everything is so interesting. We both think if we don’t clean out we are going to be featured on Hoarders! LOL! Liz got to see some of Pat’s quilts. We had a great time. Pat is an angel for putting up with me so long!

Jim…Yes, you have been sniffing way too much silver polish. To make an angel out of me would be quite a trick! It was nice to see you and Elizabeth….but please return sometime when I can spend more time with you two. And, may I say, when the house is ready for company. I did have my old navy man (70) and my father-in-law (a 92 year old army man) to make lunch for which did not allow for me to go shopping with you. What fun that would have been although I really do enjoy spending time with these two guys while I still can. I know you are going back to Texas and you will probably be sniffing more of that silver polish….kindly take care, will you?

Envy is rearing its ugly head! Yes, Pat is a real angel and I have no polish to sniff!
