This Week’s Finds and the Forgotten Dresser Set

I forgot to post the 4 piece petit point dresser I got at the Conway Antique sale last weekend. It was  marked $75 but she came off some. I have a couple in my collection, but I had just seen a tray for $250 on another aisle with nothing else and this one was so much prettier, so I picked it up. While we were in Fort Worth we went to a large flea market. It was so big it had 3 entrances. You had to show your ticket  and they checked your bag before you left. I found a Victorian woman watercolor to go with my collection and a petit point perfume bottle with funnel. At the Fort Worth sale I got a silver tray, a wooden gilt decorative shelf, 2 French bisque figures, a sterling knife sharpener, and a stainless Revere bowl.  On the way home we stopped at Lane’s in Texarkana and I got 5 small chairs all on sale for half. Liz went to Searcy yesterday and found me 2 petit point purses, one was hand-done from a kit. Today, Liz had to go back to Searcy and take Ashleigh something so i went and we shopped on the way home. At the Green Door I got a baby spoon, a plaster dragon shelf, and a petit point purse. At the new Interstate Mall I found a brass centerpiece mirror, a silver ring to make something out of, a small crystal bowl, an English serving fork and a knife-fork, a small triple brass frame and a terra-cotta column base. I had a good week and a great weekend. Now to pack to go back to Fort Worth!
