A Gift of Five Hand-Painted China Plates

August finds 008I collect hand-painted china plates. I pick them up when they are pretty and cheap. Some are old and some are new. I have a bunch and even have quite a few Mama painted. The other day there was a knock at the door and a dear friend walked in and handed me a stack of five different hand-painted china plates. He  said he was cleaning out and they needed a good home where someone would appreciate them. About 20 years ago they were so expensive that you could not afford them. But, as in everything, styles change, so they are not in great demand today.  I still like them and they do look good in cabinets.China platesAugust finds 008
