One Stitch at a Time -Additions to the Petit Point Collection

joan's redwork, petit point purses 049A friend called last week and told me he was going to a wonderful estate sale in Oklahoma City. He sent me a link to the estate photos. There was a picture of 9 petit point purses stacked along with several purses of all kind. The estate was huge and full of fantastic antiques of all kinds. Friday he went to the sale and called me. The purses were all prices. All were in wonderful condition, but one. And that one will be easy to fix. It had just come unglued from the frame. So, I finally said, “Just get them all.” And he did. He told me they were all bought on European trips in the 1950’s. Six of them have  tags that say “France.” One has a coin purse and a mirror. There were torn opera tickets in one. Here are my new additions to my petit point collection.Petit point 1etit point purse 1Petit point purse 3DSCN2741[1]
