Last Weekend and This Weekend Flea Marketing

March 1 2014 011Today I went with a friend to pick up something in Kennett, Missouri. It’s right across the border above Paragould/Jonesboro. I really didn’t pay much attention. I was hemming a small quilt. We got there in time to do a little looking at the junk stores. They were mainly real junky, but we looked anyway. We did the business we came to do and then stopped on the way back at every junk/antique/flea market store we saw. One of the neatest things I got was a Coke bottle bottled in Forrest City, AR. The city IF M 1 grew up in. I remember the old Coke plant there. Another thing I got was a piece of velvet on cardboard that had embroidery and sequins on it for a buck. Don’t know what it is, but it was really pretty. The china flowers are place card holders. They are marked Royal Adderly bone china made in England. Last weekend Deanna and I went to Conway just to get out. We shopped at several stores and found a few goodies. One dealer said that it’s been slim pickens since the weather has been so bad. People have not been having yard sales. But spring is coming and new stuff will appear.F M 2
