Making Stuff Two Weekends Ago

AWOL, red and green quilt, snowan quilt, Pat's stuff 175Two weekends ago I wanted to just play and not make a big anything. Fannie had given me a heart out of candlewicking and I made a pin cushion out of it. She, also, gave me some very small red machine embroidered  pieces and I made a little red bell pull.   I had two pieces of  machine embroidery and I made two square pin cushions pillows. There was a piece of army green with some red and pink machine embroidered roses and I made Pat a covered journal with graph paper in it. That week at school I was on another potholder kick. I finished up all the old loops and made these. I gave them to friends at AWOL and then gave a few for door prizes. I’m so glad  that  20 years ago, Eleanor Peace Bailey gave me permission to play as I grew older. If I think about it, I’ve been playing for 62 plus years.
