I was asked by Ginger Fondren of the Iris Quilters Guild to do the afternoon lecture at the 2014 Assembly Day for the Tennessee Valley Quilters Association in Nashville, TN. The association is made up of 25 guilds in the Tennessee Valley. The Theme was “Christmas in July.” There were 11 vendors, 550 quilters, and tons of quilts. The morning speaker was Jenny Doan. She was absolutely wonderful and her husband, Ron, helped her. The day went really great except for the air conditioning went out and it was a little stuffy. Yes, I did sweat a little. Oh, Ginger is the wife of a Forrest City High School classmate, Mike Fondren. It was so good to see both of them.Nashville 1nashville 2
