Big Apple Pecan Cinnamon Tart

War Eagle, apple pecan, Oct 20th 108A friend gave me four apples. I hate to waste food, so I decided to make a large apple pecan cinnamon tart. I had an apple dessert at Susan’s and that’s where I learned how to slice the apples and lay them half way on top of each other in rows. I used my old tart dough recipe that is posted in other tart blogs here. Then I laid the apples down, sprinkled cinnamon, and spooned over a mixture of a stick of melted butter, a cup and a half of sugar. a little nutmeg, and pecan pieces. The dough had a small lip like a pizza to keep it all together. I took it to Herman and Glenda’s for supper and they all seemed to like it. Then I took the rest to the cooks and the girls in the school office. It is a lot easier than making a pie. You just cut with a knife and serve squares. Yummy in the Tummy! I posted this for Dixie. She’s always wants my recipes. LOL!apple 1
