The Family that Stitches Together

Stained glass door, Fayetteville, Antiquing Clarksville. Barbara 095This week when I stayed at Barbara and Bob’s in Bentonville I took the craft tour of their house. Barbara is a quilter and Bob is a cross stitcher. Barbara has a studio up stairs and Bob cross stitches in front of the TV.  He has a program that can take one of his travel pictures and make it into a cross stitch pattern. His work is great. Really detailed and smooth. They have quilts on all the beds and his cross stitch pieces are framed in the back bedroom. Years ago they had craft both at fairs. She told me that they used to make 1,000 small cross stitch stockings a year. She showed me a variety of patterns that Bob stitch and she sewed together. She gave me 3 different ones. Really a neat gift. They made a snowflake quilt together. He did the Santa’s and she pieced tem into a Christmas quilt. It is really a beautiful thing. Thank you both for sharing your home and your talents.barb
