Friday Afternoon Antiquing

AQG November Roy Dudley 115I got a call from a friend at 11:30 Friday as I was walking out the convent. He  wanted to go to two estate sales and a couple of stores in Little Rock. I ran to the bank and then ran to his house. We drove to North Little Rock close to Sherwood and found the estate sale Roy Dudley was doing there. I picked up a big oval crystal hinged box that was new and had never been used for only $10. The tag says: World’s Finest Emperlux Handcut Lead Crystal 24% Made in Slovakia. Gonna make a nice gift for someone. Then I got a crystal blown angel for $2.00 and a brown glass bottle with a drum and cannon balls on it for $2.00.  Then we went to Roy Dudley’s warehouse where they were having a 20% off sale. I got a red glass stem for $3.20, an a green glass spoon for $1.60. After that we went up to an estate sale that sorta overlooked the river and the bridge. The house was full and neither of us found a thing there. Weird. The last place we went was in North Little Rock and it was a store having an estate sale. I found a pair of crystal salt and pepper shakers for $7.50. We were back in Morrilton at 3:30. Easy afternoon.RD 1
