Restoring Painted Items

AQG November Roy Dudley 090I had three things I wanted to spruce up before I put them away: A frame on a swivel stand, a china trinket box and a little statue of an artist. I spray painted the frame and the statue flat black. Then I dry brushed them with my gold leaf paint. The china woman trinket box was gold and white already, but the gold had turned green. So, I painted over the green with a tiny brush. When I got finished it looked too new. I got the steel wool and sand paper out and buffed it up a little. Now it looks old again. Fun day at school fixing things up.Painted items 1 They really look better than the photos.
