Antiquing in December – 2

Dec. 2012 AQG CAQ Ashley Hot Springs Anna 066We went to Blue Suede Shoes in Benton for their Christmas Open House and stopped at two other shops a couple of Saturdays ago. Long Story Short:  I left 4 things on the shelves behind the counter, because they were very busy, and four people hand taken things up to the front for me and the didn’t get in the same pile.  But Bren-Bren works there and she brought them to me at the guild meeting on Monday. Every booth had a percentage off for the open house, so I got some bargains. I found a wooden rocking chair for a friend in theAnt 5 Conway guild to make a pin cushion out of. I got some 1950’s gold plastic angels, painted plastic carolers, and angels.  Found the cutest miniature china nativity set and a bag of small snowman ornaments for a friend. Got a crystal Santa for a present, and a etched glass basket. One of the reasons I wanted to go there is because my friend Shannon has aAnt 6 booth and our friend Judy was getting rid of some of her silver. I had already bought three pieces from Shannon via text message photos and I got two more pieces from her booth.  We went on to the other two big stores down the road and I found a brown glass lantern perfume bottle, a set of tiny wooden bowls,  miniature cake stand, a crystal angel, and two crystal votive holders. It was a good day for shopping percentages off everywhere.
