Needlepoint and Petit Point Purse from Memphis

Dec. 2012 AQG CAQ Ashley Hot Springs Anna 109A couple of weeks back my friend, Ivo, in Conway texted me a couple of pictures of a needlepoint purse with a petit point center. He was doing a sale in Memphis. It was unusual, because the center was done in cream and outside the wreath was done in black yarn. It looked like the ones that Mama and TeeTee made when we were growing up. I got it from him last week and to my surprise it was a mass-produced purse from Austria. It has a label inside. It sure looked like the ones that were done in the 1960’s. I paid $20 for it, and it was so clean I loaned it to Mama to use for a while. She likes carrying different purses to church. I’ll get it back when she tires of it and I’ll stick it in the closet with the rest of the needlepoint bags.Dec. 2012 AQG CAQ Ashley Hot Springs Anna 110 Dec. 2012 AQG CAQ Ashley Hot Springs Anna 109 Dec. 2012 AQG CAQ Ashley Hot Springs Anna 108 Dec. 2012 AQG CAQ Ashley Hot Springs Anna 106
