Junking in Russellvillle on Sunday

sunday Glenda 010I always by myself something I want at Christmas. It goes back years when I would hint, point, tell, ask for and no one paid any attention to what I wanted. So the week after Christmas I would go buy those things that no one got me. This year I spotted a round red covered butter dish that matched all my red glass dishes and stemware. I saw it twice at the big flea market in Russellville. I called and Glenda said she wanted to go today. So we went there and took the scenic route to the bridge at Dardenelle and back up to Russellville. We shopped and found a few bargains and I found the butter dish I had spotted a couple of months ago. I was sorta wishing it was gone, because it was kinda high, but not out of reach. I had beenGlenda 1 looking for something extra from Blake and I found a cut glass decanter that was too good to pass up. I ran across a huge bucket of wooden bracelets to paint or burn. I got a pair of Bulgarian wood burned and hand-painted perfume bottles, a little frozen wooden Oriental figure, a crystal handled server new in the box, a Christmas tree to decorate for Mama next year, a wooden tray to burn, and 3 silver bangle bracelets for a $1.00. We had a fun day. They told us that their sister store would be opened tomorrow in downtown Russellville on Commerce Street. We didn’t know there was one there. So, I’m going tomorrow. A fun day and I got my Christmas present to me.Glen 2sunday Glenda 010 sunday Glenda 015 sunday Glenda 017
