Tapestry Tote with Wood Burned Handles

purse, Pat's house 034Someone is always giving me fabric and stuff. I got a big piece of tapestry given a couple of months ago. I didn’t know what I was going to make with it, but I liked the colors and the pattern. I was at a flea market some time back and found a purse with wooden handles I could wood burn. I knew right then what I was going to do with the fabric and handles. I was going to make a tote bag. I got the fabric and figured out what sizes the five sizes would be. Then I got solid black and cut the lining. One side I added pockets. I sewed the 4 sides together first, then the bottom, then sewed the last side up. I got the black braid in Conway at JoAnn’s.  I finished up early this morning before I took it to my friend Pat in Searcy.Purse 1 purse, Pat's house 035purse 2 PURSE 3 pURSE 4 pURSE 5
