The February meeting of the Arkansas Quilters Guild was this past week. Joan and Deanna and I went. It was a good meeting and the quilter from Hickory Hills Quilt Shop in Hot Springs was the program speaker. She should how to piece on the big embroidery machines. A friend called and asked me to bring my first MJHS school quilt with the first quilt block Tom Russell made with the other junior high students. I, also, took the quilt that the students made several years later from cute animal quilt block drawings Tom had done for me in probably 1974 or 1975. I picked up an applique and pieced Iris quilt that Eddie Quilted for Mary Love. Show and Tell is always my favorite part of a quilt meeting.
Do you know if there is a pattern for the cat quilt on the table? The cat quilt the two ladies are holding looks like the cats are panels but if you can get info on that I would appreciate it. I love them both!
The speaker was from Hickory Hills Quilt Shop in Hot Springs Artkansas. You’ll find her on the net. Send her an email. She might have the pattern in the shop. Good Luck!!!
