The Gift You Burn Before Giving

A V 006It is Ashleigh Victoria’s 21st birthday. I was told about it a week ago and then I was invited to supper on Sunday night. I started wood burning a recipe box for her. Sorta a hope chest thing for later. I decided that I would put her name on the top and use blackberries as the design around the sides. I free-handed the three berry sides. and then decided to burn “My Favorite Recipes” on the back. Words are harder to plan and space. I hope she likes it. Oh, as a funny I am making a card that says, “Every girl on her 21st birthday needs diamonds and a dozen roses in a hand-painted china vase.” I have a miniature dozen roses in a miniature china vase with rhinestones. I think she will get a kick out of it. Every girl needs some crystal. I got her a crystal candy dish with two bags of M&M’s. One plain and one peanut. All Southern galsAV 1wood burning recipe boz 006 need to be trained in the virtures of Southern hospiality. And the best way I know is to offer company something sweet.
