One of the reasons I love going to flea markets and antique stores, is the fact some dealers have no clue what they price some things. When I was in Tontitown I found a needlepoint bell pull. I have several, but when you find a big one with fancy big hardware it’s hard for me to pass up. A dealer had it marked $20. People don’t take in consideration the amount of the hours it took someone to make. I looked at it and thought to myself originally the needlepoint plain canvas probably was between $50 and $75. The wool yarn to finish it was between $35 and $50. The fancy hardware was probably $100. They you have to block it and get velvet for the back and put it together. They were very expensive to make back when. So, I bought it for the pretty hardware. I’ll do something with the rest of it. I think it is well worth the $20.
