Yard Sale at Carol’s Church on Hwy 9

carol 1Carol H. called me on yesterday at noon and said that her church on Hwy 9 was having a sale and there were lots of frames. Well, I got off the couch threw on Friday’s clothes and went. It was in their hall and it was full. It had been fuller, but it was slowing down. I found  14 frames, a china Christmas ornament, a handmade doll rocker with a white oak seat and back, a tin black sleigh ornament, a wooden “A”, and two chimney’s for lanterns.  What are my plans for these, you ask? The frames will have watercolors eventually, the doll will go into the Victorian Christmas doll box, the “A” is a Christmas present I’ll paint, the sleigh will become a pin cushion, the chimneys will go on the shelf with the others, (I break them often) and I have already cleaned and stained the doll chair. All for $5.00. Can’t beat that!
