Remember Evening Shade? And Peanut Butter Cookies

cookies 003Remember the old TV show “Evening Shade.” It was a funny Arkansas-based show. Remember who starred in it??? You have to guess first!!!! On September 22, I couldn’t sleep, so I got up and went to the couch and turned on the TV.  Of course nothing was on and I wanted something sweet. I grabbed an old cookbook and found a peanut butter cookie recipe. It wasn’t Mama’s, because I couldn’t find it. But, it really turned out good. The recipe came from the Evening Shade cookbook from Evening Shade, Arkansas. It was a collection of recipe from the star Burt Reynolds and  the people who lived in Evening Shade. The cookies were great and I took them to school and gave to the office staff. I really want to make some more. They really, really  were good.Pow Wow Ok and FS antiques Watercolor 015cookies 001
