The Old Red Mill Primitive Watercolor

watercolor Mill 1 watercolors 035 watercolors 036This week I painted four water colors. To get ideas I did a search and decided I wanted to do an old mill. I had been to War Eagle and seen that mill, and I thought of my friend,  Barbara H. at Bentonville and her husband who collect pictures of old mills.  The thing I remember about the War Eagle mill is the flow of the water turns the wheel from below.  The mill I was going to paint the wheel turns by a trough above. Someday, I want to paint the North Little Rock Old Mill.  This one is about four inches by six inches.
