W.N.S. – Chicken and Rice Casserole

W.N.S. – Wednesday Night Supper this week was chicken and rice casserole from Sharon Arnhart’s recipe from the Devil Dog Cookbook. I made two large casseroles and fixed carrots, green beans with bacon, brown sugar and butter, and buttered corn. I had a bunch of Colton’s rolls frozen and made them into garlic toast. Aunt Martha made a chocolate and peppermint pie and I made brownies with pecans and chocolate chips. Oh, I used my Dresden Flowers china that I found for $1.00 a plate at the junk store at the foot of Petit Jean Mountain, and TeeTee’s pink goblets. The silverware was the Narcissus sliver-plate Marilyn gave me. I used the floral banquet cloth I made with the antique hankerchief border. Guest were Blake, Cindy, Maggie, and Will, Aunt Martha, Jeff and Karin, Dianna, and me. We had a great visit. Several regulars couldn’t come, so I had plenty of leftovers. So, the kids came by on Thursday night and we had T.N.S.dscn1734
