W.N.S. – January 18, 2017

W.N.S. last week was home made Chicken Noodle Soup. I looked up a couple of recipes on the net and realized that soup is soup. Just add stuff until it tastes good. I crock potted a whole chicken and saved the broth. I got 2 boxes of chicken broth, 2 big packages of noodles, chicken bullion cubes, celery, canned carrots, whole white onion, salt pepper garlic. I put some olive oil in a frying pan with some water and cooked the onions and celery with the garlic, salt and pepper.  I dumped that in the boiling broth along with the chicken, cubes, and noodles. I stirred and stirred so it wouldn’t stick on the bottom. When I got it done I poured it into my large crock pot to keep it warm. Man, did it grow. It kept getting bigger and bigger. Everyone said it was good. Aunt Martha brought a lemon cake that was out of this world and Mama Zoe brought different crackers and cheese. It was Blake, Cindy, Maggie, Will, Zoe, Ben, Debbie, Martha, Stewart, Robin and Steve.  It was a really good meal and everyone seemed to enjoy the company and food. Robin and I go way back, and have been friends for years. It was so good to catch up.
