A Fabric Necklace for Angie

dscn26382[1]At the guild meeting last month I picked up a fabric book cover with black and white dogs and cats off the give away table. Our retreat theme is “It’s Raining Cats and Dogs.” I knew I’d better keep it, so I could use it later with our theme. I got home and realized I had 2 squares of cat and dog fabric. I decided to make Angie a necklace. Angie Hefner is the head of our retreat. I fussy -cut the dog and cat out and appliqued an umbrella. I put them in water, embroidered around each piece, and used rhinestones as rain.  I think she was totally surprised at her new gift.
